Large two day conference in Congress Hall for world renowned beauty brand

January 2019 saw cosmetic company, bareMinerals, host a fabulous, two-day conference at our central London venue.

One of the main reasons they chose Congress Centre for their event was because of the branding opportunities we can offer, from the windows of the building and the registration area right through to the spaces themselves.

The conference needed to accommodate 300 delegates, perfect for our largest space – Congress Hall – which can seat up to 500 in a theatre-style layout. Bare Minerals also took over the adjoining Foyer and the adjacent Congress Suite which they used for catering, breakout sessions and networking.

‘We loved the spaces and the way we could make the venue feel like our own,’ says Natasha Harris, Education & QVC Marketing Coordinator for bareMinerals. ‘We branded everything, including the reception desk, registration desk, the huge screens and of course the rooms themselves. We wanted our colleagues to feel completely immersed during the conference, and I feel we certainly achieved that.’

It wasn’t just the venue that made such a positive impression on the bareMinerals organising team. Our staff in the lead up to the event and on the day must have been doing something right as Natasha and her team came back with glowing reports. ‘Nothing was too much trouble for Ruby, Ian and Michael,’ says Natasha. ‘They went above and beyond for us and the whole event ran really smoothly.’

We understand how important food is at any event, particularly ones where your guests are with you for full days and therefore are at your mercy for several meals! That’s why our chefs take great pride in creating delicious, healthy menus that will not only give your delegates a wide range of tasty dishes, but also the energy to focus for the entirety of your schedule.

bareMinerals organisers chose a selection of American, North African and European street food to serve their guests with some delicious salads including a Cajun Chicken and Avocado one, served on black-eyed beans and charred corn and peas served on a bed of mixed leaves and mint. ‘It was the best food we’ve had at a large conference venue,’ says Natasha. ‘We had some really great feedback from our delegates.’

As well as having great spaces, food and branding opportunities, clients often tell us our location – just a few minutes’ walk from Tottenham Court Road – is another important factor in holding a brilliant conference. Being near public transport, fabulous pre- and post-event entertainment.
