If you need a large banqueting venue for an AGM, an awards dinner or a gala dinner and dance in central London, then the Congress Conference Centre could be the best venue in town.
Notwithstanding the venue itself, the location is so accessible in respect of transport links to mainline stations the tube, local parking and an abundance of London Black Cabs in the area. Heathrow is just 45 minutes away and Covent Garden and Soho just a short walk.
The Congress Conference Centre is a dedicated event venue and does not provide accommodation, however, there is an ample supply of accommodation with two Radisson Blu Edwardian hotels (one on Great Russell St itself) within a minutes walk and a Thistle Holborn Hotel just two minutes walk away.
In respect of our largest banqueting room, it can comfortably cater for up to 320 diners with reception drinks and canapés served in the adjacent foyer with efficiently run cloakroom facilities available which regularly cater for in excess of 800 guests.
For dinner and dance events, the capacity is 260 to allow for dancing on the sprung floor.
Our Head Chef, Damon Shorland caters for a variety of special events and differing cuisines with a brigade of 13 staff.
His recently developed banqueting menus have been exceptionally well received though he develops innovative bespoke and themed menus for clients as well as being similarly disposed to devising vegetarian, gluten and dairy free menus.
Our event coordinators are experienced in their field and work closely with you to organise and execute your banquet with first-class facilities and exceptionally high standards of service delivered by the hospitality team.

With the range and variety of events hosted at the Congress Centre, we are adept at providing assistance in theming your event with a significant range of contacts and resource to meet and develop your requirements.
There is a stage for entertainment and speeches with an 18ft drop-down screen, a 32-channel digital sound desk and digital HD projection, and a sophisticated intelligent lighting system to create the perfect backdrop for your event.
The venue is set within an architecturally-renowned 1950s’ modernist building which provides a striking backdrop with the unique combination of light and airy contemporary spaces with a 1950s’ twist.
