Recently Congress Centre played host to multi-award-winning event management company Fashions Finest. The agency used our West End venue to put on the 7th Britain’s Top Designer Awards as well as two fashion shows. There was a lot of criteria to meet but Congress Centre was the perfect fit for their requirements and our team’s experience hosting fashion events made us an obvious choice.
There was extremely limited time to build-up and break-down the set so it was vital we firmly managed it for the smoothest run possible. Our in-house team works on several fashion shows a year so has plenty of experience advising event managers on the best way to work with the space. Deborah said “The venue team were so helpful and accommodating. No matter what we needed or asked for they showed initiative, responsiveness, efficiency and always friendly. Ruby was incredibly helpful, quick to respond to any queries and constantly looking for solutions for us. Just all round brilliant to work with.”
One of several reasons Fashions Finest chose to use Congress Centre was location and accessibility. Deborah St. Louis from Fashions Finest said “We needed something in central London and easily accessible to disabled attendees or to those traveling by public transport. The venues location next to Tottenham Court Road station meant guests were able to quickly pop in, watch the show then move effortlessly on to the next event or shopping on Oxford Circus.”.
The event needed to accommodate up to 300 guests so our largest space – Congress Hall – was the perfect solution with it able to seat up to 500 theatre style. Fashions Finest also took over the Foyer space just outside the Hall and used it for registration, a selection of exhibitions, networking as well as a small VIP area! The dedicated entrance at street level allowed them to make an impact from the moment their guests entered the venue.
On the day of the event Fashion’s Finest made the most of the venue’s digital screens and lighting equipment. Deborah said “The production team really made the space uniquely ours and it just looked so amazing and professional. We loved the way all the rooms flowed into one another because of how effortless it made moving from one place to the other. Having digital screens located throughout the venue was really useful as well because it gave us additional ways to promote our business and our sponsors.”
After a successful event, Fashions Finest decided to host their next London event with us.
